So that's how those animal migration studies are done. You tag the animals and then have them email their movements. Scientists don't have to slog through mud anymore!

Much better than having to overnight it on a decomposing whale in the arctic.

permalinkI would also like to mention that several memebers of the DI will attend Furry Connection North in mid April. If you are a fursuiter, please wear your tags!

permalinkHow about those suiters who attend FurFright? (also a Dorsai chaperoned event)

permalinkI could ruin the fun by suggesting suiters just fill out that info at a con ^_^

At a con they've already attended? I'm not sure even the dorsai are gifted enough to send fursuiters back in time. Besides, time travel would make the migration study way too complicated. *grin*

permalinkSo why not just create a database where people register with the DIs since they seem to be at many events?
Though I can see some people being touchy about their privacy, it would be a good idea.

If you're going to sample people at various conferences, you might as well standardize. I know people online who go to DragonCon, FC, AC, and the anime cons.

permalinkWell, there is db.fursuit.org where you can post your suit, the maker, where your from and what cons you've attended, but I guess the MIG study is just more fun =]

permalinkI looked over my photos from Anthrocon 2007 and spotted several frusuiters with DI migration study tags. Sometimes it is hard to identify the species. Can anyone help us identify these fursuiters?
110 large grey mouse
124 cat
149 wolf?
174 fox?
179 black bear?
227 dark, horned creature
Also we can see the tags on the following fursuiters but cannot read them.
-grey wolf with a badge reading "Brendon"
-blue fox/dog/wolf using a walker
-large female bear? with a red and black face
-wolf with red hair and black mask
-light blue dog/wolf wearing a hockey shirt
Please send the information to

Thanks.
