Hey everybody! So Nace (my husband) and I will be driving to Anthrocon this year. - We are leaving on wednesday June 25th at 7AM from our house in Plattsburgh, NY. If you are local, you will need to be there on time either the morning of or the night before (we have couch space if needed). - We are leaving Anthrocon on monday June 30th between 10-11AM. - If you are not immediately local to us, but are not TOO far out and are roughly along the path to Anthrocon (from Plattsburgh, check on Google Maps to give us an estimate), we may be able to get you. Please give us an estimate how far out you'd be and such. - If joining, you will be expected to pay your share of gas, but we do not have an estimate of how much that will cost just yet (we need to do some math). So, anybody need a ride? Thanks! |

Albany NY is along our path to Anthrocon, we could definitely pick you up there.
Only thing we ask for is a bit of help with the gas, if that's alright.
As for monday, we'd be willing to stay as late as 11am if need be, but no later than that, as it's a good 10+ hour drive for us and my husband needs to be back at work early tuesday morning.

RE: Albany Yes. I know. I was there. Back when Aloyen was running things, I was his Girl Friday (with the dubious title of Assistant Director On Site (or the Mouse that Roars). I left furryfandom for a while to get married, buy a house, become a mommy... You know, stuff I wasn't mature enough to realize actually would have benefited from my staying more furry.
As I wrote in my bio. I missed it. I missed the people, the hugs and scritches, the level of conversation... So I asked my husband (who was also a furry) if I could have a Mommy weekend and go to the con. And, wonderful man that he is, he said yep.
So, I'm just trying to figure out a way back that won't take the car from my husband and son.

Hi Mouse,
For timing, my bet is that we'll be passing through Albany and could
pick you up between 10am-11am. We're leaving our home in Plattsburgh
at around 7am, and it's approximately a 3 hour drive to Albany.
We estimate to arrive in Pittsburgh anywhere between 7pm-8pm-ish
depending on traffic/food&bathroom breaks on wednesday.
What hotel would you need to be dropped at? We are staying at the DoubleTree.
In any case, let me know what you'd like to do and we'll work with it,
we're pretty easygoing people. And it's always nice to meet other
happy married furs. My first year wedding anniversary is coming up
just next weekend, actually

I emailed you, but forgot to include the hotel info. I'll eventually be at the Westin, though my roomshare is starts on Thursday. That shouldn't be a problem. I can always work Wednesday night too.
