Hello, I was wondering if there was any karaoke or a karaoke machine available for the Masquerade? My fursuit will be a partial with a face mask rather than a full head and if possible I'd like to sing something for the Masquerade... If not for that than plain, non-suit karaoke is fun too!

We don't have an actual Kareoke machine, however the Masquerade takes place in the Spirit of Pittsburgh Ballroom, and we've got a nice PA system set up in that room. Getting you a live microphone is not a problem, and playing some music while you sing over it is also not a problem (assuming you provide the music).

You'll definately want to talk to the Masquerade Director, Rigel, in order to go over the specifics of your act. You, He, and I can also talk about any equipment needs you would have, and whether Anthrocon can provide it. Smiling

You can find specific masquerade info here:

Thanks, I've e-mailed him; now the hard part, getting the music! Unfortunately the song I want to sing (after reconsidering the theme) doesn't come as instrumental only and the programs I've tried to get rid of the vocals haven't worked, alas... :[

Hello there! I am possibly planning on going to AC this year. I went back in 2004 to the con and didnt really know very many people, and would like to go this year to meet a few new faces. I recently started a karaoke company and have some kick butt equipment. I think it would be a fun thing to do for everyone to have some karaoke there. Everything I have is digital, so if someone wants to sing a song, all you have to do is ask. If I have it, it takes just moments to bring it up. If anyone has thier own karaoke cd's, you can bring them with you and I can play them as well. If anyone would like to get in touch with me in regards to this, my email is .
Thanks a lot, and I hope I can help! Smiling

That would be quite cool but I think it would be up to the con staff as to where/whether it could get set up!

And please do that *soon*. We're trying to finalize the schedule, like, today.

I can see it now, a microphone, a bottle of sake, a karaoke machine, and a drunk cockroach belting out "Inagadadavida"! I would pay money to see that.

I've never done kareoke but I'd be up for a few songs at Anthocon.
