AC '08 DJ Spotlight: Ironheart
Anthrocon features some of the most talented DJs in the Furry Fandom, but who are they really? We'll be taking some time in coming weeks to let you know, in their own words, what makes them tick and what you can expect from their sets.
Next up, returning for his second year, Ironheart!
Fandom Name: Quell Ironheart
Stage Name: DJ Ironheart
Age: 25
Influences: Hard to answer as everything that goes in my head comes out somewhere
Genre: Industrial/EBM
Biography:
I've been spinning as DJ Ironheart for a couple of years now and under other pseudonyms for several years before that. I mix both in person and over the internet via Second Life (Most often in Lusk). I got my start in college as a result of being "that guy with all the music and a halfway decent sound system" and things have grown from there.
My style is mainly on the darker side with EBM, Darkwave, and Industrial taking the front lines. However, I touch a bit on the experimental and abstract at times as well. Some of my favorite artists include Combichrist, VNV Nation, Charlie Clouser, Tweaker, The Flashbulb, Coil, and Throbbing Gristle. Along with DJing I've also had a hand in several musical projects over the years with genres ranging from Trance to Industrial to Doom Metal to Noise and Ambient, making myself a rather hard wolf to pigeonhole.
Out from behind the decks, I answer to Quell or Josh and I'm a huge gamer. Generally I can be found with my head buried in music, a video game, or both simultaneously. Don't be afraid to approach, I look more intimidating than I really am.

Yay, go Quell. Except for the minor speaker blowout last year, you were awesome.

There's a hole in the world like a big black pit,
And the vermin of the world inhabit it,
Its morals aren't worth what a pig could spit,
And it goes by the name of London.
