Sketching at the con

First Time Congoers

I want to bring my sketchbook with me to the con but I have yet another question...

Am I allowed to do sketches for other people if they ask or if I offer? I won't charge so I wont be selling but could I like just walk into some room start drawing and if someone asks make something for them?

That's a no-brainer...well, it is if you've been to a few of these events. Smiling

Basically, spontaneous social sketch trading is something you will see all over the place at most any furry con, and AC is no exception. Most of the activity will be in the Zoo, but you can find informal sketch trading going on in pretty much all the common areas.

Most people will hang out in the Zoo and sketch and stuff if there's nothing going on like early in the morning or after the dealers den closes / before all the dances start. I always bring my art stuff with me and if I get bored i'll head down to the zoo and start sketching away on whatever. It's always a great way to meet people (granted my artistic talents suck.. but hey.. I draw for fun.. not fame. Eye-wink

Agreed. If you want people to sketch with, go to the Zoo, plop down at a table. Say something crazy like, "I AM THE QUEEN OF FRANCE" and then start drawing.
