What day should you arrive?

I've never been to Anthrocon before or any con to be exact. i was just wondering what day AC really starts?? Cause on the banner it says 26-29 but then i read that the opening cermony was on Friday the 27?

Well the 26th is like a day for everyone to socialize and meet new people.
The opening ceremony starts all the programs and whatnot for AC

You should arrive the same day you happen to be there. If you arrive before you are there, you won't be able to do anything since you're not there yet. If you arrive after you're there, you'll have missed out on all the things you had been doing while you were there. Therefore, logically, you should only arrive when you get there.

Well I personally always arrive on the 26..
It allows me to sleep after a long bus ride.
And also I can walk around the city before the con officially start .. ^^
