Question about the Convention Center

Okay, I went last year and I noticed something temperature wise (becuase I am a fursuiter) It seems like the AC was really cranked at the westin , making it a great pleasure to fursuit in and run around in. But once we got over to the Convention center it felt more than a few degrees hotter! Heck when we were waiting for the fursuit parade it was REAL hot and we were scrambling to get fans and such.. Is there anything that can be done about this or are we going to have the same thing every year? Johnny |

The DLCC environment has an architectural difference that prevent cooling measures from being an exact science.
The convention center has many large windows instead of opaque outside walls. On a sunny day, these lend to a mild greenhouse effect in the DLCC that works to counter air conditioning measures. The Westin does not have this feature apart from the lobby, so the temperatures are more directly manageable. The two structures are owned and run by different entities, so their internal temperatures cannot be coordinated.
Without direct control of the weather, there is going to be a temperature difference between the two buildings, despite equal or greater A/C measures on the part of the DLCC.

And before anyone asks us to turn down the thermostat, remember that it costs us $1000 just to keep the Headless Lounge nice and chilly.
