"Mai Boi, AC is what all true furs strive for"
Putting that aside, It'll be my first time too. I heard from a lot of furs how great and friendly everyone is. Im usually a shy reserved person but I'm hoping I can break out of that on AC and open up a bit. Its nice to meet ya.

That is the whole idea behind the convention!
We have "The Zoo," a big ballroom made just for hanging out in, but there are many other places where people naturally congregate -- although not the hotel lobby, please!
Find a panel or event that interests you, and you're sure to find at least a dozen other people there who share that same interest.

I was hoping to go this year but I will feel weird without my fursuit. I wouldn't mind going without one but I really want to be there with my suit. So if not this year then next year will be my furs con.

Kaseiko,
Don't feel that you NEED a fursuit to enjoy the weekend. Fursuiters only comprise about 10 - 15% of the Anthrocon population. Meaning that you'll see a bunch of them (us rather since I'm a longtime fursuter), but most of the folks at AC won't be in fursuit at all.
It's a really fun weekend for you to make new friends and have a great, fun time!

Drummer,
Welcome to Anthrocon! You'll find that we're a friendly group and strive to make the weekend a really inviting and fun place.
The programming grid for the weekend should be up soon (we're reviewing it for final changes and corrections now). When you see it, take a moment to look over the possible events that you'd like to attend. I'm sure that you'll find MANY attendees who may be interested in some of the same things you are!
Also consider going to "So This is Your First Furry Con". it's hosted by myself, our Chairman Uncle Kage, and 2 the Ranting Gryphon. It's a fun panel that should give you some great info on the convention and some good tips to make the most of it.
Again, welcome!
