I am going to be in a full suit and the person I will be with will also be in a full suit the question we got is how do fursuiters carry money, wallet, cellphone and things like that around? |

I've read some posts how they'll leave that stuff in their hotel room, other times, they'd have a spotter/friend carry it for them. Some probably keep it in a pocket in their normal clothes under the suit.

The convention in the past has made provision for a "Headless Lounge", which is usually a room set aside in the convention center, convenient to the main causeway in and out of the place. This is a chilled room where you can cool off, relax, change, and perhaps store things, like a water bottle or bag of necessaries. I do not know if the room is "watched" from a security point-of-view, but there is ususally always someone there.
It is highly recommended practice to have a handler - someone who is not in a suit - to accompany you, who can guide you around things you can't see, run interference, watch for signs of distress. This person can also carry your needful items, like the water bottle with a long straw, or your wallet.
There are currently available pouch-type badge-holders, with are worn around the neck, have a display window for your convention badge, and a pocket for small change and a few bills, pen or pencil, and a room key, if necessary. And the room keys for these modern hotels are all of the magnetic-stripe plastic card variety, so it might be possible to stash your key card inside the fursuit head somewhere.

permalinkThe pouch-type badge holder is a good idea. Leaving important personal things like ID or money anywhere is a bad idea. That includes the Headless Lounge. It's never a good idea to subject people to that kind of temptation.
You should either carry your belongings with you or have your spotter/handler do it.

permalinkI have a neck pouch thingy I got at walmart I think it was.. has a bunch of zippered pockets and a velcro flap. I plan on hanging my badges from it as well and use it out of suit. It seemed to work well last year.

Generally when I'm in costume I carry my room key, convention badge and a character badge or two. I use one of the pouch-type badge-holders like others have mentioned already. I leave my cellphone and wallet in my room. If you are staying in the hotel and convention center, there is not really a need for any ID beyond your official convention badge.
My main suggestion is to carry as little as possible when in costume. You should also make sure that everything you are carrying is secured so you don't lose anything.

I'd set a different time aside for suiting so you don't have to carry a wallet etc on you. Your con badge will be able to clip on easily, as for room key, alot tend to just tuck it inside the paw, or down in the foot section of the suit. I personally have a few character badges that the key can sit inside the plastic casing.
