What can you afford? Either will let you attend the convention. The sponsorship levels are for people who want to contribute extra money to help put on the convention. (All that A/V equipment in the ballroom doesn't come cheap.) Super-sponsorship gets you some extra gifts, but the intrinsic value is less than the difference in price, otherwise what would be the point.

1: Your answer can be found in the FAQ… http://www.anthrocon.org/faq/alley
To make it easy on you… the answer is yes. Anyone who is registered can fight for a table in artists alley. Doesn’t mean you will get one, but you can try anyway.
2: sure, why not?
Kage brings his parents every year. I would bring mine but they don’t want to go all the way to PA.

If you are under 18, I really suggest you bring your parents.
If you are over 18, I think you should bring them anyway. They will have fun!
And we have had good luck with the artists' alley lottery. I do not believe we had to turn away more than a small handful of people, so the odds of getting a table are very good.
As the convention grows, we will see about trying to make the alley bigger, but for right now, it's going to stay the size it was last year.

permalinkI was a member my first 2 years at AC, but at AC06 I was a supersponsor, and I am here to tell you Supersponsorship totally rocks. Anyone that can afford supersponsor should get it! I am already Pre registered as supersponsor for AC07! Now its just a matter of counting down the days.
