otaku at the con?
I already feel very out of place and it's not even the con yet, I'm normally at an anime convention at this time so if there will be any otaku there please let me know
I'm 16, so I don't have anything else to spend money on. I'm alos not really social. I guess I'm literally an otaku then. :3
There will be a number. At least one of the Dealers last year
in the Dealers Room, IIRC, specialized in anime/manga type stuff.
I'd recommend posting a note on the messageboard once Registration
open, and maybe checking the Zoo for people wearing insignia.

I consider anime falling under Geekdom. x)
I think this portion of awesome cuteness is relevant to the conversation: http://youtube.com/watch?v=FISWhB_vwnI

The 29th of June is my birthday, I has an AC birthday! wheeeeeeee!
Awesomeness!!! If you have a Current Character Ref I'll draw a special badge for you as a present from me. :3 My E-mail is
As the Youtube page said, the song is performed by the LeetStreet Boys, who write and perform songs about geek (especially anime!) life and love. They're not terribly reminiscent of Weird Al's work, other than the lead singer's high vocals.
Yay for songs which mention Registration!
I'd definitely be interested in meeting up with other anime fans at the con. Does anyone have any plans as to when/where we'd meet up.
yes, I am a fangirl of anime, though I don't have much ((unless you call a wall of my room lined with 17 plushies not much, lol)) it'd be cool if someone opened up their room to watch anime and stuff, or some fangirls/fanboys met up at the con to do a lil something anime style. ^^

I think this topic was somewhat posted for last year, you can hit me up on msn [davidsisson@rogers.com] if you want to meet up at the con this year.
I'm a anime fan ! ^^

Otaku is a negative word in Japan. It essentially resembles someone who spends all their money on collectible figures and manga and attempts to avoid society.
If you mean anime fan, count me in.
I do own a little over 500 dvd's of domestically released anime (not chinese import) However I have only seen about 2/3rds of my collection due to time constraints. (I work for the VP of quality directly under the president of a local aerospace company.)
