Pet Policy Clarification
I discovered that the Westin permits pets and my fiance and I were considering bringing our 10lb, 11y/o Papillon in the chance we can't find a petsitter for the weekend. However, after searching around the forums, I found some confusing staff comments about taking pets in and out of the hotel itself (we're aware the con itself does not allow pets).
If someone has a pet in the Westin, are they permitted to take them through the lobby, or are there no areas in the Westin itself that are not considered convention areas and, therefor, disallow pets?
Thanks in advance!
I would assume that even though you can have your pet in your room and non con' areas of the Westin, there are areas being used for the Con' that you may not be able to have your pet with you.....I would think the lobby area would be considered a non-con area.
If I'm wrong, sure someone will come along with the correct information here.
I'd actually like to take note here, we've debated bringing our pomapoo.
Please leave the pets at home. Whereas the hotel may permit pets, Anthrocon's policy is not to permit animals (other than service animals as defined by the ADA). Your pet may be very well-behaved; it is the ill-tempered wolf-rottweiler-demon mix that someone else brings that we worry about. The policy is both for your safety and your pet's.
