East coast heat
So, who is loving it? Yesterday where I live it got up to 97, today its spose to get to 92 -.-
There's a saying about standing the heat and kitchens, which means in my mind there should always be less heat *outside* of the kitchen.
Especially when I'm spending 50 hours a week in one in my job, at that.

Thats actually pretty refreshing to what I'm used to. During the summer here in south Texas the temperatures are usually in the low to mid 100s. It does get pretty hot. If theres any saving grace however, its usually dry heat, as to where its like standing next to a furnace; its still hot either way but you don't sweat as easy. This is because its close to the Mexcian deserts. But then theres times we get our weather from the gulf of Mexico which although comes with a chance of rain (75% of that time we don't get), the humidity raises like crazy. Thankfully though it usually happens at night after the sun goes down. But during the day... just no. One out of many reasons why I quit my self employed job as a gardener/landscaper.

Naw, I'm just kidding. I used to live in New York, or more specifically "Long Island". Yeah, being completely surrounded by water during the summer just about kills you on humidity.

I live in the middle of a bunch of hills, well above sea level. Otherwise it would be hotter.
I dunno about that. I live at sea level, by the river and it's not so bad. 81 right now.
It feels hotter than usual, especially since we had such unusual cold for so long. Just two weeks ago I was worried about frost a couple nights and I had to wear a coat! 
We skipped spring and went straight into July.
A high of 98 is called for today.
Once I am in it I am fine. It's the transition from cool to hot that I don't like.
I did automotive work for two years and it was probably the hottest job I've had. In the summer I sat outside for my lunch break because it was "cooler"
Well i can say that this heat is becoming a itch in my back side. Since i commute to Philly every day, i take the train around 11pm then from there i ride my bike from 8th st to 32nd st. with all the rodes i go through its like 4 miles in the heat in the city and w/ the humidity, i just caint wait to go to work in at kitchen that can be around 72-80 degrees depending where im standing. i hate the heat i caint escape it >.<
Wait, you go through the PATCO Station at 8th and Market?
I walk /through/ that station every morning on the way to work.

yep everyday, im in NJ so i go to the woodcrest station and get of at 8th street. i get to the station around 11:30 ish everyday, and tommrow since i have work, again >.< it be funny if u c me, im a red head riding a bike w/ a back pack on. but i dont have work till 12:30 thats y, when i leave to philly i get to the station around 9:20 who knows i might bump into u
Got the thermometor outside pegged at 95 right now. Yesterday, my friend was telling me that the northest was hotter than Miami, FL. xD But I always to keep a little math problem in my head... Heat Wave + Cold front coming from the northest = One heck of a show. =D

Well i can say that this heat is becoming a itch in my back side.

Yeah, tell me about it. I volunteer with a local folk dance association, and yesterday was our 3 hour dance marathon fundraiser up in glenside. The building was air conditioned somewhat, but the township couldn't spare anyone to turn the cooling system on until 1:30, and the dance started at 3. Temperature in the dance space got up to about 85, with lots of warm sweaty bodies to up the humidity.
I also find it somewhat amusing that out of all this spirng during the renovations on my office, this is the day that the HVAC system is down for repairs/renovations.
32nd street in Philly? That's not far from where I work! I'm at CHOP, 34th and Civic Ctr Blvd. What place on 32nd? I should come and see ya sometime for dinner.

I work at the Steinberg Conference Center, its part of the University of PA so it not an open kitchen >.< its all private stuff for the U. So do u commute to PA or drive?
Somedays I drive to Camden, where I'm using my parking pass for Rutgers until it expires in August, then take Patco to 8th Street, then to the Septa train to 34th. After August, I'll need a new driving plan on days when I need to drive, likely utilizing the Lindenwold parking area (as long as get there really early to get a spot). Other days, mainly when I'll be working all night, I take the NJ Transit bus to Camden, the take the trains.
Maybe I'll see you in passing now and then on the few days I leave early (ie, the days I work all night so I can get housework done in the afternoon before I collapse from exhaustion).
You might see me carrying a red and white Igloo container and a black laptop bag with a hole in the bottom (I just use it for note papers and my umbrella, no need for a new one!). I've got dark brown hair and glasses.

Let me see, how's about 82 F or so Tuesday and Wednesday, partly cloudy with low humidity for loading the trucks and the convoy trip out, and then 85-87 for the duration of the convention?
I do have to toss some rain in there for the farmers, sorry everyone. But I'll try to restrict it to late evening thunderstorms. Let me see, some brief thunderstorms early Tueday afternoon, hailing a cold front would be nice. It'll clear out and be refreshing by 5 PM. Then we'll have to have some storms Thursday or Friday night. Take your pick! I've got plenty of time to set up the jet stream patters!

Isn't there a furry fan who works for AccuWeather? I always loved that name -- I can just imagine them sticking pins into the map to control the weather.
I used to think I preferred dry heat over humidity but all bets are off when blowing dust gets factored into the equation >.<
It has been high nineties here for a couple of weeks, peaking above 100 every couple days (like today), which sucks but is not aided by the fact we have nearly constant winds of 15+ mph which DO NOTHING to cool you down, interspersed with dust storms up to 80mph. -.-
I sure am glad I'm not deployed but I imagine that the weather over there is only slightly worse than where I'm at I haaaaaaaaaaaaate this damn sand, the sky is brown about as often as it is blue.

After class this morning with Mrs. "penguine" Murphy I could go for some heat. But 91 is too hot, I work in kitches where the ambient temperature is usually 20 degress hotter than outside in the summer. Dragons cook too ya know
