Although this is not official Anthrocon 2008 programming, I felt this was the best forum for the announcement! Come Play Hockey at Anthrocon 2008! When: Friday, June 27, 9 - 11:30 pm Yes, I said FREE! Considering that some of you may have to have your gear shipped to the hotel or pay the airline for checking in an additional bag, a sponsor has stepped forward and the cost of the ice has been taken care of! Again, there is NO cost to you! If you're a beginner (like me) and want to get a taste of the ice and stick handling, this is the PERFECT opportunity for you to have fun and not feel pressured or intimidated about getting on the ice. There will be no score, just fun! For those who cannot get their to AC, or do not (yet) play hockey and would like to come and watch, you are welcome to come along! Full details can be found here. are rental skates there? and do we need are own stick? will a skater helmet work? do we need anymore gear? i would love to come havent played since i was 12 thow

Would I be allowed to freeskate while others play hockey? I'm a little curious, but I'd be more into the iceskating aspect.
