I hope he heals quickly

For those who are more curious or would like to pitch in a bit for Tom -

Tom tore his quadriceps muscle while taking a very high step onto a stage where he'd been invited to sing with Christine Lavin (hey, if you're going to injure yourself, do so for the best). The doctors decided surgery was the best option. The surgery took place this morning; preliminary results are pretty good. But this still means more hospital stay, followed by time in a wheelchair, followed by lots of physical therapy.

Tom has no medical insurance, and has been making a living strictly off his music for the last few years. He's not directly asked for help, but I know for sure that this is going to eat a major hole in his pocket. If you'd like to pitch in, cruise by Toms web page at www.tomsmithonline.com and buy something. Buy lots of somethings. Throw money in his virtual guitar case. And if you can't do any of that, at least send some good healing mojo his way.
