Early morning eateries?

I'm looking for suggestions from Pittsburgh locals familiar with the Westin/CC area, or anyone with direct personal experience:

Do you know of any places to eat in the area that are open at 6 am? On Thursday morning Simba and I and some volunteers have to get an early breakfast before heading over to the convention center to meet the Teamsters and unload the trucks.

Steel City Diner doesn't open until 7, and Primanti Bros. is too far away. There'll be 6 or so of us, and we won't have the extra time to walk an appreciable distance or monkey around with carpooling.

Last year I ate at the Tower Grille in the Alcoa building on 6th Ave. near the Omni, but it looks like they're opening at 6:30 nowadays, which is too late for us. (We need to have finished breakfast by 6:30 in order to get to the convention center on time.)

Looking at last year's restaurant guide, there are some Au Bon Pains in the area that open at 6 am. Their menu doesn't exactly thrill me, so I'm hoping there may be a hole-in-the-wall place nearby that does a good Western omelet.

Any suggestions?
