What sort of things are typically auctioned off at the charity auction?

I ask because I know there are a lot of furries who play video games, and I have here a brand new Guitar Hero™ Metallic Silver Black DS special edition bundle signed by 83% of the Guitar Hero: On Tour team, probably closer to 100% once I'm able to get ahold of more of our engineers and artists. I'm curious if there would be any interest in throwing it into the charity auction.

Technically the items I think are supposed to be furry-related, but if Canadian Coke, pizza, and hotel rooms can be sold, I don't know why this couldn't Smiling

I hope attendance is decent this year; I probably won't make it as there are three other events on at the same time that I'm interested in: Floyd Norman, PA Pets, and Fursuit Charades; and there's also the kid-friendly event Sad

That's a perfectly acceptable, and probably highly desireable, item for donation. I'm sure it would bring a nice price and a significant boost to the total raised for our charity this year.

If you haven't reviewed the Charity Auction FAQ or Rules, they can be found at:

The deadline for inclusion on the Bidder Info Sheet has passed, but donations may be made up to the auction itself. After reading the documentation, let me know if you have any additional questions at by tomorrow.

EDIT: And to actually answer your question (oops!), you can view a summary of every item sold at Anthrocon's Charity Auctions from 1998-2007 here: http://www.anthrocon.org/charity/summaries

Thanks!

If they can sell two rolls of Hello Kitty toilet paper and a pound of Beef jerky, I don't see why anything, even things out of the ordinary can go.

I'm donating my Sonic Adventure 2 series Rouge the Bat plush this year. ( Pictures here! )

It's extremely rare and sought after in the Sonic fandom, I think most people these days don't even know it exists though. A nice large, and very high quality plush. Hoping she fetches a good price for the charity this year. :3

Oddly enough, I can view that, but not "regular" LJ sites, thanks to the latest whim of the Mordacs at work Sad

She shows up on ebay every so often; I got one a few years ago for <$30, but I've seen them go for >$60; likewise the dragon from Shrek...
