Well if you hadn't heard Gerge Carlin died yesterday. Yep, God has taken yet another important person from us. He made us think, laugh, and made certain words naughty on tv. But I started thinking, why do all the cool people die of heart failure? George Carlin, Mitch Hedberg, Elvis... But what if Uncle Kage died? I mean, he will eventually and probably of heart failure, cause he's cool, or from alcohol poisoning after a con. I'm going out on a limb here but somehting tells me that if anywhere, kage might buy the farm at some future(anthro)con. But... since he's a cockroach would he keep going? I mean I would assume that convention functions have become second nature and automatic and it might just be possible that we would not know he's dead. He'd just keep running around doing things just like how a bug or lobster keeps twitching after you squish it. How long would he keep going? would he finish the con and fall over as the last peron leaves? I could only hope so since that would be the perect end for Kage. please don't hurt me Kage! ;.=.; |

permalinkWhen Kage describes himself as a "creepy old guy," I think the emphasis is on "creepy," not "old"
Here's to a non-zombified Dr. Conway chairing AC for decades to come!

permalinkLittle Kage looks so cute with the ribbons in his hair! Maybe that's why he wears it so short these days...

I dunno, I prefer to enjoy the time I have with my friends while they're alive, rather than speculating on their eventual passing.
Besides, cockroaches will outlive us all.

Ok calm down people Kage isn't going to die quite yet, and if he did we'd bring him right back to life. I'm just saying, being buggish and all I think it's possible for him to die and his automatic death twitches will give the illusion that he's stil running the con and making us all laugh. However, I'd imagine that year's Uncle Kage's story hour would be a bit lackluster since he's dead and all.

As Morbid as I find this post...*Knocks on wood*...I fear no such future event.
I happen to have an "Uncle Kage In A Can", complete with labcoat, test-tube, and working pencil.
I keep it in a special display case. Along with my collection of Eric Schultz' original, rare, genuine STICK VIXEN art.
I'm hoping to complete my "Uncle Kage" collection, with the acquisition of an "Uncle Kage ACTION FIGURE!, complete with wine goblet and realistic wine-tasting action...and maybe a Lab Coat. One year, I had to choose between a STICK VIXEN portrait and a genuine Lab Coat, a veteran coat of many a year of conventions and story hours,...and went for the STICK VIXEN Artwork. But I'm hopeful that such an opportunity might come again.
...And then...I'll only lack ONE THING to make my ULTIMATE UNCLE KAGE collection...Complete.
*insert sinister grin here*

Were you really a fan of George Carlin? Don't answer, because it's obvious. Carlin was known about his anti-politics and anti-religion humor.

-----------
Born in New York in 1937, Carlin started out as a radio DJ and stand-up comedian and went on to make 23 comedy albums, 14 television specials, and win four Grammy Awards. He was famously against religion and politicians.
"I'm completely in favour of the separation of church and state," he once said. "My idea is that these two institutions screw us up enough on their own, so both of them together is certain death."

Also, since you're a fan and such, you'd enjoy this:
