Hello. This is my first time going to anthrocon, and I'm super excited. I wish I could dress up, but i didn't have a chance to buy a fursuit. What do people sell there? C:
These forums are not super active, so don't expect a response right away. You get one eventually.
Uhm, as for things sold at the con, there's stuffanimals, tails, comics, art, ears, fursuits, anything you can really associate with furry. It's good stuff.
There's a list of dealers up I think and if you look around the site and forums you can see who's selling what, too.
Actually, these forums ARE super-active, especially around now. But it's not a live chat. You have to leave a little more than 12 minutes for someone to reply.
Only about 15-20% of people fursuit, and usually only about 3% at any given moment are in suit. No worries there.
As for what's for sale: In the Dealer's Room and Artist's Alley, artists will sell their art- in prints, portfolios, originals, stickers, badges, or commissioned sketches. There are also books, comic books, animation art, collectibles, toys, plush animals, jewelry and accessories. At the con store, you can buy videos of Anthrocons past and other memorabilia; in the Art Show you can buy framed original art and sculpture.
Almost everything for sale is animal- or furry-related. One thing that surprised me was
that there's nobody selling paperback novels there. There ARE people selling furry
comics, and books with compilations of furry comic strips. Myself, I tend to spend time
at the stands selling T-shirts and buttons. I'm an exception to a lot of rules, but I'm
not the only one who buys them.
And if you're spending most of your time in the Dealer's Room and not selling, you're
missing all the panels....
