I just wanted everybody at the convention know that I had a very awesome first convention. I've had a lot of people tell me not to attend a big con such as AnthroCon for my first convention because it can be a little overwhelming. Well... I guess I like a little overwhelming! Because I had a blast. My sister and niece (two non furs) are even discussing going next year as well! I think I'm converting them nicely *evil laughter* Anyhow. Thursday we registered. After 5 hours of driving around Pittsburgh lost... ugh. When I walked in, I didn't expect to see suiters at this time. I was wrong! Dead wrong. Man I love you guys! Definitely brought a huge smile to my face. And even though I didn't really know anybody there, and I'm rather shy at first, I really felt comfortable and "at home". It was weird. But everybody was so friendly. It was awesome. XD also, thank you Chiaroscuro for recognizing that... yes... I do post a lot here on these forums. Even though at first I was completely confused as to what you were talking about: "What forums?". lol But that was awesome. I walked away from there grinning from ear to ear. Also thanks for not giving us too much grief about my niece not having an ID. T_T Next year, she will have ID. I just completely spaced it!! Lets see... Well I'd like to say I got to run around all day and see what I wanted to see. However, we kind of found this little area that we stuck to because we became familiar with it. And I KNOW we missed a lot! I'm also very grateful to the people in red shirts. Even though it took me forever to gather up the courage to ask for directions (lol) they were awesome at being very friendly and saying "oh that's in this room over there" and such. Thank you! Without them we would have wandered aimlessly, and would have missed out on the couple of pannels we wanted to attend. I also have to say, that suiting at the con was one of the most amazing experiences ever! Generally, I suit a lot at home. I mainly do it for kids at the park, or entertaining at the county fair. But this was a whole new experience entirely. I like how everybody knew the basics of fursuit etiquette. Asking for hugs, gentle petting, no pulling on fur. It was awesome. And when I was just tuckered out and took a break on a nearby bench, I had a few people stop to ask if I was alright. Thank you guys. ;3 Also- the headless lounge? HEAVEN! lol There were a lot of breaks to the lounge. Im not used to the heat in Pittsburgh, especially not in suit. Plus I may be a little out of practice since I haven't had the chance to fursuit like I used to at home. Plus I met a few really cool people in there. Lets see... What else can I ramble on about?... Uncle Kage and 2... You guys are hilarious. KP, yes you too. You all made me laugh so hard. Unfortunately I never made it to the story hour or rant, but what I did get to see was just amazing. ;3 so yeah. Shout out goes to you guys. Kinda wish I could have gotten a picture with you guys lol but again, we were being silly and stuck around a very small area of the convention lol. Hmmm... All in all, a wonderful convention experience. Not only was this my first Furry convention, it was my first convention in general! We had such a wonderful time that we're already planning our budget and everything for next year as well! |

Makes me kind of sad because there were a few fursuiters I was on the look out for to take photos of/with. Ohhh well. next year we will venture out farther... I promise
But what we did get to see was awesome.
