Something to keep in mind for next year:

Going to Anthrocon is a lot like going to a big theme park (we even have costumed characters, yay! Pink whoohoo ) but sometimes it can be hard to find people. As a public service, I'd like to offer some helpful advice with two things you can do to make finding your friends on site:

* Get contact info and cellphone numbers. The easiest way to get in touch with your friends on site would be to call them, either on their cellphone or by room number. For best results, do this before going to the convention.

* Plan to meet at a specific place and time. It's a lot easier to meet up with your friends for dinner and whatnot when you have an itinerary or schedule.

Speaking from experience, taking a few extra minutes to plan ahead will make your convention go a lot smoother. Even though I was extremely busy during the con, knowing where people were and how to get in touch with them (and how they could get in touch with me!) helped a lot.
