We have no intention of leaving Pittsburgh in the near future.

Besides, the place you suggested is far too small for us.

It certainly seems like a nice facility; It seems not large enough to accomodate Anthrocon, however. The Spirit of Pittsburgh Ballroom in the DLCC has 31,610 square feet of floor space compared with the Bayfront ballroom's 13,500; and Hall C at the DLCC - which we've outgrown - is 45,100 square feet in comparison to the Bayfront's 28,800.

Also, the attached Sheraton hotel only has two hundred rooms; Anthrocon and its 3390 attendees this year occupied over a thousand rooms in our official hotels, with assuredly more people in unofficial ones. The Erie airport also only serves three airlines, in comparison with Pittsburgh's thirteen; and Erie takes us further from our off-convention operations center in Malvern, PA.

I think that the facility could easily handle a mid-major furry convention from 500 to 1,500 attendees, and might be a place for one indeed.. but it doesn't seem suitable for Anthrocon's expanding needs.

Also, Steel City Diner's Greek Gyro Omelette is not going to be in Erie.

Not the CAPS LOCK it BUUUUUURRRRRRNNNNNNNSSSSSS!!!!

Seriously, its annoying to see posts using all caps. And ill ensure you your not going to make a lot of friends that way.

And after checking it out, that area would be too small for us indeed. I bet that view over the lake would be nice though.

REMEMBER THAT NOTHING IS EVER AS BAD AS IT SEEMS AND IT COULD ALWAYS BE WORSE !!

Easier to see, harder to read.

FWIW Books Galore http://www.geocities.com/eriebooksgalore/ is thinking of putting on a comic con next year; I suggested they invite Shawntae Howard (http://extinctioners.com) who's Erie-based...
