Hello everyone - I am new to this whole "furry" scene, and I'd really like to be a part of it because it seems like a lot of fun. Up until a few months ago I never knew that such a culture even existed, but via some indirect links on the net I found my way onto your site. I would like to attend the Anthrocon conventions in the years to come, but right now I'd like to start networking and get to acquaint myself with some of you so that when I go to a convention, I'll have an easier time socializing with others and the whole experience will be a lot more enjoyable. What are some links to other furry fandom sites that a lot of people go to to meet others and make friends in the scene? |

Thanks. BTW I'm having a lot of trouble uploading my picture in my account settings. Everytime I try I keep getting a validation error message. I noticed that the time & date settings go up as far as July 10th, and today is the 14th, so that may have something to do with the problem.

It's working now. I don't know if it was your suggestion that did the trick even though I followed it, but thank you anyway

There are a BUTT TON of furries in the PA area. You live five minutes from us if you're actually in Horsham - we have an all-furry house (with five individuals!) in Hatboro. Another few furries live in the immediate area and then all around. Getintouch, I can let you know when things are occuring.

GODDAMN! Sounds like I hit the mother lode!
But seriously, that's great to know. I'll start with you since you live so close to me.
What's the best way to keep in touch with you, and what sort of "things" are you referring to?

Well we have meets and parties every couple weeks. Depending on your style of party, they may or may not be for you. We have huge ones with 30-45 furries every other week which are good but more loud - there's music, drinks, etcetera. It's a good deal, though.
Open bar (my roomie is a bartender so we have all sorts of tasties) is $5 and then food is a $5 buy-in just to recover the cost of supplies.
We also do smaller shindigs from time to time with less fuzzies, sorta impromptu or off-the-cuff little get-togethers that 10 or less people drop by and those are fun as well, not to mention the usual just sitting around the house.
You can find me on LJ (kalemika) where most of our announcements for parties go and stuff and also on aim (omg look a deer). Okay that's about it.
