Democratic/Republican/Furry Conventions

Just realized something. Over the past couple weeks the news has been going on and on about the deocratic and republican national conventions. Apparently these things go on for about a week which brings up the question, what the hell are they doing for 4 days? Anthrocon gets a little tiresome after 4 days, but you know we want more, and we have fursuit parades, pannels on how to draw sexy people and guns, adult art auctions, an artist alley, and an almost bottomless well of alcohol and furry debauchery. Really the only thign both seem to have is alot of ranting and storytelling on stage. But from what I can tell form watching teh Daily Show, and quick snipts I catch while channel surfing these conventions are just alot of talk and party chest beating. Come on, where's the fun in that? It makes nascar seem a little more entertaining. Maybe if they were to have their convention alongside a fur con it'd be more itneresting. Half way through Al Gore's rant (opening up for 2) people would be excusing themselves to go to the Drawing Beefcakes pannel across the hall. Every closet republican would be walking around with yiffy art under each arm and showint it to each other. I would go to that convention!If I ever run for president this is what I would do.
