Furloween a good first con?

So this is my first Con. Its close to home and will be rather inexpensive since ther will be 4 of us spliting a room, and ride up. Is it a good first con to go to? What kinda events and all do they have and what could I expect and so forth? |

Furloween I have only attended once (2002), but I can say I had an excellent time. It felt less like a 'convention', and more akin to a big Halloween party- there's a high amount of costumes worn, not necessarily furry costumes. (Prismo dressing as Super Mario comes to mind!)
It's fairly low on 'events'. As I recall, there are no panels; the dealer's room is very small, it only lasts for a day officially (With subsidary, unofficial events making it spread more across the weekend).

It's more like a very large party.
