Possible stupid reservation question.

So, I have a possible stupid reservation question. I was trying to make reservations tonight and once I got everything filled out and hit except, it brings up an error, credit card experation is invalid. After looking at it I noticed it said the credit card must be valid until the end of the stay, and my card renews in Febuary. So I called and spoke with someone to see if there was something they could do to take my money so I could make the reservations, and update the experation date once I get my new card in Febuary. They said that there system would not allow them to help me. So, I know important people that the hotel check this now and then, so I was hoping one of them could tell me what I could do other then get a prepaid card and put just enough money on the prepaid card to make the reservations. I personally don't like the option, not just because those prepaid cards are expensive, but because that's not really a good way to do business with the hotel having a card on file that they can't charge. So, any help? Please?
