So, I was playing with Google's 2001 search index and thought, "I wonder what comes up for Anthrocon." Here's the results from the waybackmachine. Forums don't work, but most of the other sections do. EDIT: Also found this, though not much has changed. |

Look how much I missed out! Its hard to believe that the site used to be like that well before I even know "Anthroism" existed.
Hey was there anything on AC about 9/11?

Furries in Flight was my first one too. I was poor back then.. only could scrape a couple hundred dollars together and go because I could drive back and forth (since I lived an hour away in NJ).
Then I got rich in my indexing job and had thousands! I was among the elite! Bidding high prices for art and turning my nose up at all the little people! >:}
Then I lost that job to a buyout and got my current lab job... and am poor again. Now Rogue stomps on me as I no longer matter. :C

Either buyout or less hours..:/
In todays economy one must have 2 jobs (atleast where i live). High paying "dream jobs" are hard to come by these days as there are literally thousands(if not hundreds of thousands) of people competing for that position and not on a national scale, but on a global scale.
The secret is in you.....

Now, I know for a fact that it is possible to bid high prices for art, and not turn one's nose up at "all the little people". I suspect that one can turn one's nose up at these "little people" (who might those folks be?) and not bid a penny on artwork of any kind.
Sorry, but I just can't picture Charline de Lyon treating "Little people" in that way - with or without "having thousands".
