"Furst" Fur Suit Delima...Hope You Get the Pun. =3
I am having a friend of mine build my suit and I should have it by next AnthroCon. Here's where my delima arises. I don't drive up with anyone anymore as my travel buddies have moved or fallen off the face of the Earth. So...I have to fly. I will be picking it up at AC next year so are there any tips I can get on how to avoid my suit's head being damaged when having to fly with my suit?

I'll scope the rideshare, thanks. As for the container...wouldn't it being completely solid, as in, not see through, make it a hassle at the airport? I mean, I'd be tempted to lock it as well so it wouldn't fall out but they'd just cut the lock anyways. I'm more worried about the airlines screwing up and me losing something than anything else.
They'll want to open it and look inside if they're suspicious, but that's necessary with all luggage. The Action Packer's closing mechanism is, by all reports, quite secure.
I don't know if they make a clear version; you'll have to show around.
How large is the head? You could probably try to pack the bodysuit/partial in your luggage, and then have the head in a separate bag as a carry-on on the aeroplane.
I am contemplating this myself as I may bring two fursuits to next Anthrocon.
While Action Packers are nice an square, but they can be a hassle. I'd suggest getting 27"-29" hardside luggage. It will cost more, but if you shop around you can find a good deal. Also the Hard sided luggage seems to have more usable space.
