Lots of rooms still available at the Westin
And the weekend computer glitch that made it look like our room block was sold out has been fixed.
We cover this in our FAQ. Tuesday night is sold out, and there is a group ahead of us so we cannot get any more rooms that night.

just a quick question, on the hotel page, it says Tuesday July 1st is sold out. ""There are no more rooms for Tuesday, July 1 (before the con)"" Except on my calender, it says the first is Wednesday, not Tuesday...i just reserved from the 1st, wens, to the 6th, monday, and it was fine...is my calender screwed? sorry if this seems stupid e.e
i had a simaler problem, you have to phone the hotel and reseve the room (well maby noy "have too"), but its how i got around the problem.also when you do phone in be shure to say your with anthro con or they will tell you that no rooms are avlible.

I want to throw this out for any and all other people that may be using a "Check Card" rather than a credit card to make a room reservation. This is what happened to me.
I called on the day the room block opened for general guests and made my reservation for my usual set up for my room share with full knowledge that I would be paying for 2 room nights in advance. The money was in my account and all was well.
Having dealt with hotels in the past and knowing that there systems are often slow to do there jobs I waited a week and watched my account. No money was paid to the hotel, I called them and was informed that "Oh the accounting department hasnt submitted that yet" I said ok and I waited.
So as to not drag this out I had to call 4 times to get them to take the money out of my account and when they finally did it was almost 30 days later. My biggest reason for posting this is to warn anyone to keep an eye on your account and don't think you have extra mad money to spend. If you have to call the Hotel back then be respectful and patient. These people have a hard job so dont make it worse by being argumentative or rude.

I was looking at the Westin's website and I was trying to reserve a room for myself and my friend from july 1st-6th...it Says that there are no rooms available is that a glitch still or there are actually no more rooms to reserve?
