"A chef's jacket is white, but truly, his collar ought be blue." --Anthony Bourdain
Is it true what that lady said in Ratatouille? "The mark of a good chef? Dirty apron, clean sleeves."

iSKUNK!
Generally that's correct. Aprons are there to keep your jacket somewhat clean by the end of the day, by being in exactly the spot where you'll spatter.

Sort of for me. I'm in school right now to be an Auto Mechanic, when AC comes around I'll be getting ready to start work.
One of my jobs(Most of us probobly have more than one by now, right?) is as a security guard(oh, joy). My secondary job is working from home doing whatever I can get my hands on to make a little bonus cash(Making costumes, painting, sculpting, etc) that I can derive some enjoyment out of and keep myself sane. I also attend college, hoping not to be at the security thing forever.
I'm artslave, and I'm the person you get pissed at when something goes wrong :3 Hello.
"Eat a Richard"
I work as an associate in an art/hobby store. A good solid job to make it through college on and it certainly beats many job opportunities at my age.
My job ranges from a large scale of tasks, so it never gets routine or boring:
- Cashier
- Customer Service Manager
- Frame Shop Associate (assembling custom ordered frames)
- Art Department Head (for ordering/floor assistance)
Hobby
- Graphic Design
- Vinyl Graphics & Sign Maker
hi there ..banditwolf here
tractor trailer driver and heavy duty diesel mechanic here . drive all over the country and repair all types of things
my collar changes color depending on how my patients act lol
any way im j i work full time at a pa phyce hospital doing direct care with the mentally disturbed
My first job was in the lumber yard at a local hardware store, and I later got employed as part of a maintenance/landscaping crew for a school system. I'd say that's pretty blue collar
(and kinda how I realized my fursona was likely a fennec, due to how easily I adapted to working in that hot, humid, southern weather).
Nowadays I'm actually working at a library, so I dunno if that's blue collar or not, heh.

Hey all, I'm Shadow and I do property security for not so good areas in maryland
I currently work at the local McDonalds (have been for the 3 years I've been out of high school) But I've also held jobs such as Transit Fleet Technician and Police Fleet Technician (the P.C. term for a simple "Mechanic"). I still get called down to the CPD every so often to install new fancy lights and such, since my strongest area in Automotive is electrical/electronics (ASE's A6 test which I passed as part of my exit exam from my Automotive Tech class) A simple test light and multimeter will suffice for me when it comes to checking electrical systems, even with today's complex cars and the aftermarket police equipment that I deal with.
There ought to be a Blue-Collar Panel.
Furs in the service industry and such.
Everyjob I've held since 15, excepting to an Field Office Management job I snagged in HS, has been blue. Like right now I work for WalMart.
