If you want to know about "when does the convention send a packet of convention
supplies to registered people", that's "never"- you pick it up at check-in with
your badge.
(Pre-register and save an hour waiting in line.)

If you want to know about "when does the hotel send a packet of hotel info",
that's "never"- you can phone them or get email confirmations.

If you want to know about "when does the airline/Amtrak send me my tickets",
tnen you have to go to them to pick up anything. Airlines just issue boarding
passes now.

If you want to know about "when does Artists Alley send packets"- that's
"never- you line up that morning for a spot.

Anything else, please be specific.
Packets of what? From who? About what?

If you mean a confirmation letter in the mail that your registration was received, you should possibly expect something a few months before the convention. I'm not staff or anything, but that's about when I received mine.

As for packets concerning the convention itself, just as Black Jack said, you pick that up at the convention.

Pre-registered attendees will receive a confirmation letter/receipt in the mail; it is not required to bring it along to Anthrocon, but it is a really, really good idea. We casually recommend stapling it to the 'June' page of your 2009 calendar.

This year, we've also added an option to receive this information only by email. Probably the most critical piece of data on either the mailed letter and email is your Badge Number: knowing that we can do lookups very easily in case there's a problem. (Every year, *someone* has a problem.)

If you're a Dealer, there's a Dealer Packet; perhaps that was the confusion?
