I have been trying to book my room, and they keep saying the deposit pending isnt an option this year..is that true? They kept asking for a credit card, and when I Finally caved in, and got my dads, because its supposed to expire in june, they wont let me use that either..Help! -sunshadow |

Sorry - it took me so long to get back to all of you. Believe it or not it is really crazy busy here.
The Deposit Pending option is no longer available this year. The only way to secure a reservation is to provide a credit card or to pre-pay with check, etc.

The Westin Convention Center Hotel
1000 Penn Avenue
Pittsburgh, PA 15222
Please note the reservation it is for and the hotel will take care of it.

I can call and place a reservation, and get a reservation#.
Then I can send a check with the reservation#.
I don't understand how this differs from what we said before,
except the reservation has to be paid sooner. Can a reservation
be made without a method of payment? Or will we NEED to secure
the initial reservation with a different method, before we
send in a check or money order?

To make a reservation payment needs to be secured. If you are planning on paying by check, the hotel needs to receive the payment before reservation is made.

In other words, send the check along with your name, address, phone number, arrival date and departure date, and the room type you would like to reserve.
Then call about a week later to confirm the reservation and get your confirmation number.
