Hello, I'm going to be bringing a bunch of people along to AC this year, so I need to reserve 2 rooms, but how exactly do I go about doing this?

The site only lets me reserve 1 at a time, and I'm not sure what exactly to do, I emailed the support mail for the hotels, but they told me to call during a time when I was at work so I was unable to do so :/

Ideally the doubletree or mariott would be the ones I'd be going for, and if it's possible at all, is there any way to request to get the rooms together? or at least close to each other?

Also, it's possible to pay for the admission fee IRL right?

You reserve one room. Then, you reserve one room. After that, you have 2 rooms.

Then reserve one room in the hotel of your choice, and repeat the process for the same hotel. After that, you have 2 rooms in the same hotel, Doubletree or Marriott City Center.
(The Courtyard, of course, has been full since the opening day minus 5 minutes.)

No hotel can guarantee any request-including that one- but they will take down politely-phrased requests and do their best to fulfill them if they can. I would make a note when making the reservation-if there's a place to note something. Then, about 1 month before the convention and over 1 month after I made the reservation, I would phone the hotel directly, have a human look over my reservations, (get any reservation#s if needed), and ask them to note the request at that time. That's more likely to get the result, IMHO. (Or it could already have been written up nicely before you called, I don't know for sure.)

It is not recommended, since the line will be very long. However, it's how a lot of people register.

https://www.anthrocon.org/faq/registration#register_onsite
"Can I register at the door? Of course! Registration On-site for all membership levels is available, beginning at $60 for Attending-level memberships and $30 for Day Passes. However, the line for On-site registrations is typically much longer and slower-moving than the Pre-registation line. To avoid this, we encourage our attendees to register online if possible. It's faster, cheaper, and reduces the workload of our registration volunteers!"

The FAQ is loaded with useful information- I recommend everyone read it twice, about 1 month apart, because the second read seems to show they added a lot in the past month. (Either that, or we missed a lot in the first reading.

MOST AC ATTENDEES DO NOT WEAR A FURSUIT OR ANY FORM OF COSTUME.
