Panel submissions cut off date is soon
This is a reminder that if you are wanting to host a panel at Anthrocon 2016, you need to submit a panel request prior to our cutoff date of April 21.
As that date is fast approaching, we would encourage you to contact the programming department as soon as possible if you are wanting to host a panel or event at the 20th Anthrocon! You can use the suggest a panel link in our website menu, or you can email the programming department at programming (at) anthrocon (dot) org with questions or information.
Thanks everyone and we look forward to seeing you at Anthrocon 2016!
Hmm. I see a Nick Wilde fursuit pic in that post. How coincidental.
Heh. Heh heh. Heh heh heh.
Well, I'll be at AC2016, Zootopia panel or no.
So that's your suit?
Actually, no, I'm not even a suiter myself. But I have been in touch with Programming about doing a "Zootopia" fan discussion panel - apparently the first one to do so, to their amazement and mine. Not officially confirmed yet, so I'll refrain from discussing it further publicly until it's a done deal. Stay tuned!
(Maybe if it does come off, Mr. Wilde above will attend in person? All Zootopians welcome!)
Good luck getting the panel, always happy to see more disney focused panels, but you know that already..
We have an amazing line up of panels so far in the fur suit track. But like greedy hungry sharks at a feeding frenzy, we always need more!! With AC continuing to grow bigger each year we need as much variety in our programming as we can muster. The last thing we want is our little con to go stale, leaving the attendees with no interesting topics. We have an incredible amount of talent in the community and it should all be shared with others. So if you have a particular interest or skill and want others to bask in your glory, then we urge you to submit for a panel. It can always lead to bigger and better things… who know maybe you can even be (dare I say it)……staff one day!!!
Oh noes, beware the shark, every time you put a little more of the toe in he's waiting to pounce and stick a staff badge on you.. Its easy to stay away from the psycotic sharks, its the nice ones that lure you in with affection and understanding and next thing you know you'll be conscripted into staff...mwhwha... Trust the shark..
But seriously, Each time i've done a panel I've just felt really a part of the con, Its hard to explain the joy of sharing the areas of the fandom you know about with others, There are all types within our community,
Bahhhhhhaaaaa !!! Evil laugh
Gooble Gobble, One of Us!
I fear before long that will be the case, but there is something about going down with a fight... maybe I'll volunteer this year since i'll be there all of thursday for once
A bit last-minute, but I sent in a submission! Hopefully 11:30PST counts as before the cutoff.
Thanks so much for the consideration, and I'm extremely eager to run the panel, if it gets approval.
Ideally the OP deadline should include both the time and the time zone (e.g., 11:59 PM EDT).
So are we going to see a finalized program schedule soon?
Finalized scheduled is usually released a couple weeks before the convention.
