Booked the Doubletree for AC this year and its my first year staying at the Doubletree. Has anyone had any experience here at the doubletree? I am very excited to be downtown for AC.

I hear there's a shuttle to and from DLLCC so that's a plus.

Any info or reviews you guys may have would be most helpful! thanks guys!

We stayed at the doubletree last year. The shuttle was nice. If you aren't suiting there's actually a little underpass route that takes you right to the convention center and isn't an at all hard walk. The in hotel restaurant isn't bad. Pool is nice and open an hour later than the "officially" stated hours. The gym is pretty solid aswell. Also has a 7/11 in the building you can access without going outside.

No fridge or microwave in the room. Least not in the regular rooms cant speak on suites didn't stay in one.

Was mostly quiet though Saturday night some commotion was gotten upto and someone broke one of the exit signs. But even that was resolved quickly.

Our room had two beds and they were willing to bring us up a fold away at no extra cost we just had to move the furnishing about to accomidate it.

I'm not sure if every room is set up the same but our's had a little nook area with a table with multiple lights and outlets it proved to be an excellent work station for the artist in out group trying to get commisions done for the con and imagine it would also be ideal for fursuit repair surgery if necessary.

Stayed there a number of times. The underpass route goes to the back of the hotel; it kind of bypasses the US Steel bldg

and is a nice walk, but again the shuttle will come in handy for you. I'm talking about the AC shuttle that goes to a number

of the hotels, but there's also a Doubletree courtesy van. One time I went to a Pirates game and took the van back.

If you plan to see more of Pittsburgh, the Steel Plaza

subway station (part of the free fare zone) is across the street.

Indeed you'll get a work nook area. If you're part of the Hilton HHonors (joining is free) you may wind up with getting

to do virtual check in and room selection a day before and possibly get free breakfast buffet coupons. Everyone gets

a free cookie too, no matter what.
