I've heard stories that the Omni is one of the most haunted buildings in Pittsburgh! I'm a sucker for ghost stories and paranormal stuff like that, so I'm actually pretty excited to be staying there this year.

Has anyone had any spooky experiences while staying at the Omni in the past?

(Just fun to think about, really.)

The Omni is tied for most haunted hotel in Pittsburgh, along with all other hotels in Pittsburgh.

The Westin and the DLCC  aren't haunted. At least the parts I've been in and I've been all over those 2 places. I get physically ill and an anxiety attack when there are ghosts around. The Stanley Hotel in Estes Park, Colorado nearly killed me.

I would not be surprised if the amount of fursuiters going around the Westin's floors have convinced any ghosts to move on.

Anyone seen Casper floating around?  No?  There you go. Smiling

Okay, I'll say it: that's what happens when you drink spirits...

Jeez Kage, I asked for "spooky" stories, not absolutely terrifying ones! D:

ive stayed there many times and have seen bupkis as far as ghosts go.But then I dont believe in them so theres that factor. If you wanted to look for ghosts an old hotel would be more logical then something newly built.

If age were the sole determinant, the Omni William Penn would certainly be in the running. The hotel opened to the public March 11, 1916 and is now over 100 years old!

and the Omni looks incredible for its age.If you go past the lobby and check in area near the slightly lower ballroom areas ,they have historical photos and items sharing some of the history of the hotel.

I never knew the Omni was haunted, I'm not going to Anthrocon this year, but I will next year. I'll have to check the Omni out, maybe even rent a room there. I'm a sucker for the supernatural.

i can say from experience that i believe the omni William Penn hotel is haunted, our room there the whole weekend had an eerie feel to it and one night i had woken up in the middle of the night and looked over near the bathroom door and saw a shadow that looked like someone had hung themself from the door frame and there was no explanation for it. There were no items in the room to make it cast a shadow like that and did seem to dissapate on turning the lights on and back off again.
