I was wondering if something like this can be incorporated into one of the dances

For the first hour of the dance have everyone make a big ol circle. During that hour while the music is pumpin have individuals (or two) step out and bust out some moves.
They do it for like 1-2 mins and then "tag" someone out onto the dance floor in their stead.

This is all out of good fun (Not a competition)

What Im trying to do is alleviate the hesitation out of dancing (especially from the suiters)

No harm in asking right?

Of course, no harm in asking.

Of course, for me, such an event would increase my self consciousness about dancing, since then i'd know that folks were watching me. But then i'm very good at finding quiet corners too dark for cameras (behind the speakers is a good spot), and if it fulfills the needs of others... Smiling

When people get themselves going, they tend to do this spontaneously at the dances, usually triggered by one or more talented individuals attracting a crowd. It's not necessarily something that's planned as much as it just happens.

You can't organise something like this, it happens from time to time at a party if someone's doing something attention-worthy. Dictating behaviour at a dance ends miserably.
