Ok, I have procrastingnated WAY to long, so now here is the thing for the thing! =^-^=
Storm On Zilkesh's Keep
An D&D3.5e Adventure For Way Too Many Players
Intended for Levels 5-5 1/2
by Podunk "That One Guy" McLastnameunknowm
For use with the Antrica unofficial campaign setting
RULES FOR CHARACTER CREATION
Level: 5th
Race: Any race in the player's handbook, or one of the anthro races listed below.
Class: Any, but be sure to see the quoted post included in this one.
Alignment: No evil, please. You know there's always that one guy that plays the Paladin, and we really don't need that drama, do we?
Stats: 4d6, drop the lowest. You are on the Honor System, ok?
Hit Points: Max for first level, roll must exceed 1/2 for the other 4 levels (A little house rule I think helps)
Feats: Just take the quoted post and change the word 'Class' for 'Feat'.
Equiptment: Any mundane equipment costing no more than 1,000 gold is permitted, as well as specific items over that price if ok'd by me. Mix-n-match lists of Magic items will be given out just prior to the event. No Craft:Whatevers or Create Magic Item(Whatever) allowed. I expect the wieght totals to be written on your character sheets calcuated and correct, if you can. When in doubt, round up!
Spells: Just take the quoted post and change the word 'Class' for 'Spell'.
GENERAL DM RULE-OF-THUMB: If it is not from an official source and/or I am unable to look it up you will not be allowed to use/cast/play/whatever it.
I think that just about covers everything... Get to it! =^-^= And have fun!!!

Please note this post if you did not before:
As far as classes go I don't mind people playing unusual classes or prestige classes as long as they:
1. Do not involve psionics(They're sort of messy and I don't like dealing with them.)
-and-
2. If you're playing a class/prestige not in the PHB or DMG you must either bring the book in which the class is printed (no reproductions or copies) or get it Ok'd by me and I'll bring the book for you if I can.
... Actually, come to think of it, I'd like everyone to tell me what exactly they'll be playing beforehand once I've got this thing a bit more organized, so I can brush up on it. I have access to a good deal of the books.
If there's gonna be more people than I think I can handle (and it seems like there very well may be =^-^=), then anyone who wants to volunteer can DM, and if no one wants to I guess I'll have Serge Wolf help. ^^
And if you wanna talk to me about the game, please do!

Wait, 1 thousand gold? ten plat? Holy crap, i don't think i have ever covered or even seen a fifth level character with that much gold! EVER! Wow... You might want to cut it down just a tad bit.... Just a fellow DM's Advice.
Hehe, its kind of odd that you have -2 wisdom for foxes, considering that in almost all civilizations foxes are considered some of the wisest animals out there. I find it funny that you did that. ^_^
Hmm, now you have me tempted to re write my Character sheet completely, and just because there are anthros included.
Oh, on the subject of Evil aliments, why not? I have always found it interesting to see two players argue about whats good and evil through a D&D campaign (Cam Pag In!
). It adds realism. And it can be quite funny to if the to players are smart and funny. Have you ever seen a Paladin defend his belief against the scrutiny of a Lawful Evil rouge by using six potatoes, a rock, and fire? I would think not, or you would never have said what you said. It was quite funny. ^_^

Being a trickster doesn't entail you being wise. In fact, its' usually the opposite. Look at Coyote, or BlueJay, or Raven, or Fox, or.. don't make me keep going.

Actually, the Fox isn't wise because he's a trickster. He's wise because he's cunning. In Aesop's Fables, the Fox always represents a devious, but cunning, individual, typically possessed of whit and guile, common sense, and a marked understanding of just how little physical power he has. To which, I would propose that the Fox be given the -2 Str +2 Wis mods instead.
And in keeping with the concept there, Foxes are usually never both Lawful and Good. Those who are Good are rarely Lawful, and those who are Lawful are rarely Good. Its fairly unheard of for there to be a Fox Paladin.

1'000 gold lets the big, burly, fighter-types have access to decent armor. Half-plate and a masterwork longsword, for example, is 915gp right there (For the first example that came to my head.)
Also, the average wealth of a 5th level character should be about 5,332gp (According to the DMG, that is)
And the evil thing is mainly just to save time and keep the game going, as it tends to deliniate with too much in-party animosities. If it was a campaign, then I'd have no problem... But for a one shot like this, I don't want to have to deal with it.

I have rarely heard of a Fox being called a trickster, and most of what i have heard is that a Fox is incredably wise and smart. ^_^ But what i gather is from mostly the eastern side of the globe.

*nods* Foxes are seen in a lot of cultures as tricksters, as are their brothers the kitsune. The example that comes off the top of my head would be "The Fox and the Grapes"... Everyone knows that one, right?

MOst native tribes referred to them as tricksters, as well. The eastern cultures weren't too specific, kitsune were fox-monsters, but not foxes.

Hmmmm, no Favored classes listed. This could be a good thing or a bad thing. Ah well, if I did buy into this I'd be playing a 5th Level Ranger in any case. Or maybe some combination of either Ranger/Druid or Ranger/Scout depending if I find anything interesting in Complete Scoundrel or not. We shall see. Although I am mainly planning on running M&M and/or True 20's Lux Aeternum setting. I haven't decided yet.

Of course. I'd recomend playing a basic class from the Players Hand Book, and you might need to find someone to help you make your character. I'll also have some pre-fabs available if you just wanna pick up and play.

Meh, it must have been at least five years since I layed my paws on a D&D book, let alone anything to do with the game. Not that I have lost interest, but I could never find anybody who plays it and that they appreciate fur characters. I'm fairly seasoned with the rules, and i tend to peek in bookstores to look at the new guidebooks, and stuff.
Shrugs Oh well...

*Sigh* Well, I've been putting this off, hoping upon hope that my situation would change but it hasn't...
Due to college, and my pending financial state I find myself unable to make the trip to Anthrocon this year. I apologize to anyone who was looking forward to playing in my game. I feel especially bad after laying all this ground work...
Well, I just had a thought: if I can't go to anthrocon maybe my game at least can. Would anyone else like to run it? I can send you the adventure module. I'd hate my efforts to go to waste. XP Well, if not then I guess there's always next year... -_- Maybe.

I could probably run it for you. I've run a game before. Did you allready make one up, or do I need to create one? Oh, and to revise an earlier statement, I'm no good at creating a campaign but I can run one. I have a friend who can help me make one up should the need arise.

A house rule I'd like to add for equipment; don't bother including any ammo or food be it trail rations or whatever. Just assume you have unlimited ammo and eating/drinking is implied during off times. You will still have to reload for crossbows and such but you dont have to keep track of ammo. I'd just like to add that, provided no one objects of course.

I've got access to a good number of the books. My boyfriend is DM'ing a campaign right now, but I doubt they'll be playing while I'm at AC (I'm their cleric), so I'll probably be able to bring a good number of his/my books. I'll at least be able to bring an extra of the PHB, DMG, MM 1 &2, Complete Divine, Complete Adventurer, and a couple others I can't think of off the top of my head. I, myself, would like to either play a scaled-back version of my current character (we're 9th level right now), or a Wolf cleric/scout. The char. I'm playing right now is out of the Complete Guide to Werewolves, which is an unofficial D20 supplement. If you'd like, I can bring both her (with book) and the Wolf anthro char. to the game for you to look over, since I don't have a .pdf version of the book or anything to send you. Anywho, yesh, I'll make up an accurate list of books that I can bring, then edit my post with them.

I'd like to play in this (or the other one). I typically play Dragons (full-blooded, not Dragonbloods), but as there is a level restriction in place, and I would need considerably more levels to do it right, I'll go with a few backup concepts.
You don't appear to be working with ECLs for Furry Races. That makes several races extremely powerful, FYI. I've run Furry campaigns before and I've even had to modify the stated rules for anthros to make them more power balanced.
Concepts for consideration:
Panda Monk (Drunken Style) ((Yes, a blatant ripoff of the Brewmaster. Sue me. I love WoW.))
Fox Half-Dragon Paladin ((Yeah, I know what I said, but I like to play the exception, not the rule.))
Snake Fighter (DW Swordsman)
I also have a few concepts for some dino anthros...

Get the Draconomicon, then we'll talk about this. The only Starting ECL Dragon for Level 5 is a Wyrmling White. Low Int, Cannibalistic Tendencies, and the instincts of a savage wild animal that don't improve much as they age. To play a true dragon, you need to start at a bare minimum of 10 for a Bronze or better. Silvers and Reds are 11, Golds are 12. I'm not opposed to playing Chromatics (I do it quite well), but they aren't really up for the challenge at level 5. I'd be playing an egg. Whee fun! And that's one of the reasons I ruled out playing a dragon. Hard to get one to fit the situation.
BTW, I was perusing the D20 supplimental: The Book of Erotic Fantasy from Valor Press...
I'm considering reviving Tanrac, my Otter Wizard, as a Tantric Mage. They're like normal Wizards, except for how they prepare their spells and how they create their spellbooks. Mmmm. Any takers on being his partner? Gender isn't an issue...

I just realized, there's one more crucial thing that, as far as I know, is in short supply. We need dice. I only have one set consisting of one of each: d4, d6, d8, d10, d%, d12, and d20. We can share dice, but it'll go faster if we have more. The most important dice that are needed are: d6, d8, and d20; since, from my observations, they are used the most and are used in the greatest numbers at one time.
Also, for time saving, I have made up 3 characters already. They are a rogue, ranger, and fighter. This should also save some time for those who don't already have characters made. Aside from that, I'll see y'all tomorrow. Ya can recognize me by my Luigi shirt with the huge rip in the bottom held together by safety pins.

I'm certain I've mentioned this before, but I come prepared. Fully prepared. I have 6 sets of dice on me, plus my personal double set of dice, and my laptop full of digitized books (saves space and weight) for rules abuse... err... perusal. Yeah. Perusal.
I also have 3 lvl5 characters set with everything but gear. I have an Otter Soulknife, a Fox Half-Bronze Dragon Monk, and a Marrulurk (from Sandstorm) Rogue. I'm working on a Cheetah Fighter, and I'm hoping to have 2 or three more ready by tomorrow when I check in.
As I said before, I just need to know where and when and I'll be there. This dragon hoards knowledge. Knowledge is the only true power. What is steel compared to that? Contemplate this on the Tree of Woe.
(I'm taking requests for characters is someone wants me to craft them something special... Just reply to this thread to save time. I'm going to be up all night, since I'm not the one doing the driving...)

I must have missed that, I'm sorry. I knew about the books though.
Where and when is 4pm on Thursday in the Zoo.
Steel is just as important because while Knowing is half the battle; the other half is violence, and what is violence without steel? They work hand in hand. Knowledge and steel, working together to create an unstoppable empire...I mean a brighter future. Yeah, brighter future... *vanish*
