General event question

Though I realize that the events have yet to be finalized or released, I felt this question was general enough to disregard that.

The con is from the 5th to the 8th. Does this mean the afternoon of the 5th will be like the pre-con things? or will the 4th be the pre-con things and the 5th is the actual start of the convention events?

I noticed in the 2006 schedule, that Thursday, the pre-con stuff didn't start until later that day, whereas the convention events started to pick up the following day.

We will probably be doing the same thing as last year. That is, pre-con events will start on Thursday with official programming starting on Friday.
