Duncan,

Does the $10 flat fee per 24 hour period at the Westin garage include in-and-out privileges without double charging for that day?

No. Unfortunately, in/out privileges are not available at the Westin parking garage.

What exactly are In/Out privileges?

And I'm confused by the Doubletree entry, because per this link:

Valet Parking: $25.00
Garage Valet $20.00
In/Out Privileges: Available
Secured: Available
Covered: Available
Parking Information: 6.2 Clearance.
Self Parking Not Available

Also, is there a weekend rate for the DLCC garage?

In/Out privelages is the ability to take your car out of the garage and park it there again without being charged the parking rate each time you return to or leave the garage.

Honestly, I'd be more likely to trust the information in the link from the Anthrocon parking page than the one on the hilton.com site - the former is more likely to be updated for accuracy. And please note that we do say on the Parking page "ALL prices are subject to change without notice! Anthrocon will try its best to keep on top of any rate changes and announce them here, but neither endorses nor makes any claims regarding the price, quality or availability of parking at or around the hotel."

As for the DLCC Parking Garage:
Weekend Rates
Closed Saturdays, Sundays and Holidays, except for events.
Events $10.00

I believe they were open last year during Anthrocon, so I suppose that means we qualify as an "event" Smiling

You might want to add the Weekend rate info to the AC Parking page, though they didn't seem to honor it last year - I parked at 10:30 PM Friday and left at 8:11 PM Sunday, and was charged $40 (2 full days), instead of $5 (night rate for Friday) + 2*10 (weekend rate) Sad

I'm not bummed at the extra $15 as much as I am with the inconsistency with their posted rates Sad

That is exactly why we do not put it on our page. Despite the disclaimer, people still come crying to us when the prices change.

Last year we were told that parking at the DLCC was $20 per day. Some of the attendants didn't get the memo and thought that they were supposed to charge $10 per day (the special event rate, which has to be negotiated). So some people got off lucky; others did not.
