We're waiting for a nice letter that we can provide to people to give to ticket agents. In the meantime, you can get a 10% discount by calling Amtrak and mentioning Fare Code X28N-911. You can't use it on their web site, sadly.

And here it is! Information on how to get the discount is now on our travel page (under "by rail"). You need to call Amtrak and give them the fare code that we have listed.

yeah that's what I did last year, bought them face to face. I had it in my palm pilot then.
