Signage?
I had a great time this year! Thanks to all who put on this shin-dig for a great con.
The Westin had its act together this year at the registration desk, and it took me maybe 30 seconds to get my room key, as opposed to 4 hours last year. WOOHOO!
If I was to ask for anything to change, it would be the signage. It was kind of hard to find some of the events in both the convention center and Westin for me. Maybe I'm just getting old, but I sure had to wander around a lot to find some stuff.
The signs on the meeting rooms were non-working, and the hotel TV announcement channel was generic the whole con. Maybe those two were related somehow?
That made it a bit hard to locate some, as my little schedule book was misaligned so the rooms didn't line up with the events on the opposite page.
A couple of stand-up signs for the charity events in the convention center intersections would have made them easier to find, with the times and rooms on the signs.

Doh! Sadly, I think you left the DR too early. They actually made a broadcast announcement in Hall B with specifics about the luncheon.
Next time, remember, if you get lost or have questions, all you need to do is ask a staffer. Some of us have radios on our heads, but we all have green tags on our badges. We're all trained to never say "I don't know" but at the very least "I'll find out for you", or else, "let's look in my pocket guidebook" (we pretty much all get one on Thursday).
If it makes you feel any better, my first super-sponsorship weekend went largely without bennies (including the luncheon), as I was also volunteering most of the time.

Actually I was in the DR when the announcement came (the 15 minute warning). I also was in the process of purchasing something from a dealer which included some imput from me as to the specifics for what I wanted. So I ran out of there about 10 minutes after the 15-minute announcement.
My problem was that I looked overhead and saw the sign hanging from the ceiling. They pointed in a certain direction, which I followed and examined the walls for the room numbers. I reached the end of the hall, and another sign again pointed to the right, and down to the first floor? I was confused, I looped around the first floor knowing full well it couldn't be there, but the sign said it was down there. Then I went back up to the second floor and followed the direction to the right without going downstairs. And found another sign, that pointed me to right back where I had begun...
I looped around twice before giving up, like I said. You are right, I should have asked a staffer. However, my being lost was not in vain. On my way back to the hotel, I found a DI with tags, so I ran upstairs and got my fursuit on to acquire a tag.
I was so relieved to have gotten one. I hadn't seen ANY DI with tags since the con started on Friday, and I was beginning to get frantic thinking I wouldn't get one this year.

I missed the supersponsor luncheon because I didn't have a pocket program with me, and I just got out of the Dealer's Den. I started following the convention center's signs for the appropriate room numbers...and ended up running around in circles for 45 minutes. Nothing AC can do about that though.
Of course, I found the luncheon after I gave up and was walking back to the hotel. By then it was way too late to attend anyway.
