A special con for me and my son, Thanks to the staff
I wanted to post a special thank you to the staff of Anthrocon 2009.
As a father of two great kids, I always treasure the special moments in their lives. I was not disappointed to receive many of those moments with my son Feather Wing this year. However this con gave me two “extra special” memories that will always bring a tear of joy to my eye. It was a real honor for both of us, to have my son asked to personally great Joe Harris as underdog by K.P. He was so excited about it; he could not wait to suit up. I was as excited as he was, (and maybe a bit jealous) as he walked to greet the Guest of Honor as underdog. This year’s con will always be a special one for both of us, and for that I thank you all !!

Sharky, I was delighted to have FeatherWing do that appearance. I know it was hard on timing (as Joe's flight was cancelled and then delayed, but I feel the moment was worth it.
Being a huge Underdog fan myself, part of me wishes I could have been the one to greet Joe as well...but I don't think we could have had anyone better than FeatherWing. The look on Joe's face was priceless and made all that effort worthwhile. I'm glad that it meant so much to FeatherWing. I remember that he was part of the Underdog skit from last year...and that was why I asked. 
This was a special year...and thanks to both of you for being a part of it.
BTW...did he get Underdog's ear tag? I got that to someone to give to you on Sunday....just wanting to make sure that Featherwing got it.

I heard about this but didn't realize it was your son. That is so awesome! I always enjoy seeing you and your son at the various conventions I've worked security at.
