im making a lion tail and tried using a bike tire but it didn't keep the curve. i made rings on it of zip ties and ran a length down the concurve part and made it tight enough to curve it but it didnt stay + it didnt help that i made a rectanglular cut instead of a curved one out of the fabric. i dont want the iragularity of packing it with socks or whatever and i dont want to deal with Styrofoams. could i get any help? plus anyone with a tablet for lion ears would be awesome!!!

Skip the parts about crocheting and stuff unless you want to try that method too, but look at the bit about the fishing rod. It should bend and hold its shape with a heae gun, vice, and pliers, and they're a little whippy, so you'll get some motion with it.

LOL -- well, I've actually only made one, for an Irish Setter, and it's not even done. But I had heard about the technique, and when I saw your post, it sounded like it would fit for you!

thx, i think im going to go with that method. i might try crocheting as a protoype because ive done it before, but im not sure it would give it that right feel. i kinda have a "dream tail" planned hahaa

Hello,

I was wondering if anyone had another link to the fishing rod method? I tried this link, but the site requires you to be logged in to see it and there is no register button that I can see on the site.
