Longer convention!
More days!
I wish the convention were two to three days longer every year. That is all. =p
Not to mention the cost of renting the DLCC for the extra days would probably cause the registration fees to go up quite a bit.
As Kage said. I literally quit my job in 2008 because I could not get the needed Wednesday-to-Monday time off for Anthrocon. (There were other factors, but this was the straw that broke the camels' back.) Thankfully, at my new job this year, this has been a non-problem; but there's a limit to how long any of us can escape our day jobs for.
You are of course welcome to arrive before the convention festivities begin, or stay later, as some people indeed do. Pittsburgh is an excellent city with many things to explore: The Toonseum, the National Aviary, the Heinz Museum, a Pirates game at PNC PArk, the Pittsburgh Zoo & PPG Aquarium, and much more.
The convention for me already runs from the evening of the Tuesday before until the afternoon of Monday afterwards.
Something to keep in mind, while the programming is really only Friday - Sunday (with a mixer and dance on Thursday), people do arrive early and stay late. As Chia mentioned, you can definitely come early and hang out with folks and visit some of the great places that Pittsburgh has to offer. (I'm discovering new and amazing things about this city every year.)

Yeah, that's kind of my feeling about it.

I doubt some people could afford to attend if they had to pay
for more than a couple days worth of hotel fees. Three extra
days would cost at least an additional $500. Paying a grand
to just stay in the area during the con would be very
discouraging for some. So extending the con to much might
exclude a whole wage group.
Given the numbers of people who already come for a full week around the con, enough people would already be onsite to support more days of programming, and more would have the incentive to come for the extra days.
The limited factor is the staff. We'd be complete ZOMBIES by the end if we added extra days. Considering the cost of running the con extra days versus potential income is an exercise in diminishing returns.
So I don't think you can expect the official parts of AC to add any days any time soon.

I think Playwright was more thinking along the lines of that wonderfully perfect world where a convention could last as long as we want. Go to it as we please. That kinda scenario.
Wishful-thinking more than actually requesting more days.
In that case, I would love to come and go to a furcon like AC as I please. Just so much fun from one end to the other.

You'll have to keep wishing, unfortunately. The people who run it are volunteers who use their vacation time from work to make the convention happen. We can't afford to make it longer.
