Did my art get into the conbook?
Hi, I just wondered if the art I submitted to the 2009 conbook got printed. Unfortunately I didn't get to go to Anthrocon this year so I never knew whether it was used. Anyone remember seeing this in the conbook this year?

Don't make the Publications Director cry!
The conbook is the thickest book in the bag of stuff that you're given when you register. It usually has a relatively thick cover with artwork by one (or more) of the Guests of Honor. It contains information about the con, biographies of the Guests of Honor, stories, advertising, quickie biographies of the staff (including Xydexx, who happens to be the Publications Director) and other important information including the convention rules.
In short, possibly the most important thing the con gives you at Registration other than your badge.
OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOHHH!! YES! I know what that is! I'm sorry, no crying, anyone!! I got it! I just wasn't putting name to book face
Ah, so, how do you submit art to it?
Check under Volunteer Info then Conbook to your left. While the info there is for last year, much of it will probably remain constant.
Many apologies, I've been remiss in updating this information! I've sent the new information for 2010 off to Giza, who should be updating the webpage soon. Most of the information is the same, with two notable exceptions for this year:
* We encourage submission of color work for the conbook.
* The deadline for artwork/writing submissions for the 2010 conbook is APRIL 26, 2010.
Hope this helps!

Conbook??
Thank you so much for your help!

Hi Richard!
Thank you for your artwork contribution; it is in the conbook on page 32. In the interest of reducing costs to the convention, we only sent out contributor's copies when requested (i.e., folks would pick up a copy of the conbook at the con, and we mailed the remainder afterward to anyone who couldn't make it). Let me know if you would like a contributor's copy sent.
