Furries on G4 - Good stuff this time!
Here ya go folks, furries have come back to G4 for more in the "WTF" segment. Don't let the name fool you, it's actually halfway decent and says what needs to be said. Lots of plugs to individual youtube sites no less... Are YOU in it?
I haven't been around for very long, but I think that video is probably the best portrayal of the fandom that the media has shown so far. The only thing I'm really annoyed with is that they STILL miss the fact that not all, if not MOST furs, don't have nor want fursuits! you don't have to suit to be a furry!
That's just it, though - they're referring to the furries that DO wear fursuits, because, let's face it - one that doesn't just isn't news-worthy like that. It wouldn't be "WTF"-y for them. XD
Alright, I got a couple things to say.
First, I really like the video, how he explains first that most furs don't have a sexual fetish for fur, rather putting on the suit allows them to overcome shyness.
Second, what was the deal with them showing that guy in the bunny suit over and over? It didn't have a mask, just bunny ears. He was just a little creepy in that suit. I was like, was he the kid from "A Chrismas Story" or what?
Third, did anyone notice that the Anthrocon website was the new Modern Stone-Age Furries one? That means that just did that video within the last month. They're thinking about us! And it was very recent, too! YAY!
The rest of the video, showed us being who we are, fun-loving furs doing what we love, from playing a guitar to bowling with bumpers. Over all, I liked the video.

I saw that before but I was not a furry and I thought....WOW what kind of people dress up like animals and dance....never thought I would be one of them.lol
I am sorry.. BUT I leaned along time ago not to trust G4 when then set up a contast voting on fursuits. Sharky was in this contest (without my permission) and some very NASTY things were said about me. I will never trust G4 EVER again

The said contest I spoke of was a few years back. (before AC was was in pittsburgh) All I remember is a post I saw (on G4) under a picture of my suit, it said "there is not enough gas in the world avail to pour of this suit and set it on fire" Needless to say I was very hurt at someone hating (who I dont know) my suit so much.
The world can be a cold place at times and hate can hurt deeply.

I saw the video. It even has one of my fursuits in it (though they obviously don't ask permission to use things in video clips.)
Still, at least they seemed relatively neutral and impartial. (And they even showed a screen and mentioned Anthrocon in it.)
