IM coming from the UK and i dont want to be carrying hugs amoutns of cash with me. Does the hotel exchange traveller cheques or do i need to go to some bank to do so? Does it matter what type it is as well if the hotel does? |

The hotel and most businesses in the area (including Anthrocon) will accept travelers' checks, provided they are checks and not cheques.
(in other words, as long as they are drawn on U.S. funds!)

I sure hope you accept Cheques, 'cause thats all you can get!
Visa and Amex both like to sound fancy and issue USD Traveller's Cheques =P
The hotel will cash checks in US dollars and NEARLY all places will accept them as payment.
