Could offer a ride to AC 2010 from phila area. This would be my first time there, so love to have some company driving up and back and help with expenses and all that jazz! Had 2 and they both bailed, so have room for 2 passengers. Really hate to drive up alone! Maybe someone can give me a ride up! |

My fiancee lives in Chester and will need a ride to AnthroCon this year.
She will be bringing along her own fursuit, so if you have room for both yours and hers, let us know.
We'll be there the 24th and be leaving the 28th, and she'll need a ride back too.

The only issue might be that I am coming back on Sunday the 27th.
If you're still offering I would love a ride to the con. I can always find a ride back if need be, I just need a way there.

Hello there. May i ask, when are you leaving - day AND time of day? I know i would not be able to come back with you on sunday, but i could take a bus or train down to philly.
I am planning on leaving on Thursday(24th)around 9:00AM to get up there by 3:00 at the latest, I have one person who is in Chester Pa to pick up on the way and is only riding up with me as well.

See... if you are leaving later, like maybie past 5or6 on sunday -and- if i could have a place to rest my head wendsday night and sunday night, i think this would work. Nica is considering you again because her brother decided to back out coming along and catching a plane together with her, but I'm also asking FairFox if his ride has one more spot to take her along.
For now you are the primary ride for her. If FairFox's ride says yes, however, he'll be the primary candidate, but you'd be a good secondary if FairFox's group happens to back out.
Also, keep in mind Nica's going to have a partial, and a sizable tail since her character is a skunk.
I'm from the Philly area also looking for a ride from 24th-28th. So I could help on the way up as well!
That would be cool. I have one other who is not sure since she is leaving Monday, but may hitch a ride up. either way, I am in Jersey just over the bridge so planning on being on the road around 8 AM or so on Thursday. Not sure what time i am leaving on Sunday, but some time after 12:00, have to see what is going on Sunday afternoon....
yeah sorry guys if you happen to be talking to me but i cant go this year i did the math and i am about 1100 away from me doing this at a reasonable spending safety for me i did the math for a room and that was like 500 something and that was all i had saved and with no job the other 600 would not be a reachable goal so never mind about the ride 
maybe next year if i get a job this summer..... but the 500 i have now is going into a fur suit

Would your ride have room for one more, possibly? My fiancé is in Chester, and I'd rather see her go back Monday so she can enjoy the full con... Also, my fiancee will be packing a partial fur suit with a pretty sizable tail... keep this in mind as space goes.
I'll try to catch her on AIM sometime. It looks like its possible, only issue may be luggage space if its a good amount. Not sure how much it will cost yet, but be a 3 way split.

I'd prefer to arrive Thursday (MAYBE Wednesday if funds, and crash space are permitting, but not holding my breath) and leave Monday. I DO have somebody that offered me this but they said their car is having issues so I cannot take chances. I have ANOTHER ride that offered but is leaving Sunday night.
My big issue is my huge hockey bag with my fursuit (skunk tails are HUGE). This time I'll only be bringing my skunk fursuit, so it should be not as tall as usual, but still fairly annoyingly big.
Appropriate money for ride and tolls will of course be given.

However, most people who've put out hundreds or thousands of dollars
for a fursuit will be very attached to them.
A "spare fursuit" is a little like a "spare bomb shelter."
Usually, you'll have just the one, and no "spare."
Also, most AC attendees do not wear fursuits, and those that do
wear fur in Pittsburgh in July. Attending without a fursuit is
more common than attending WITH one.
I just figured you ought to know.
MOST AC ATTENDEES DO NOT WEAR A FURSUIT OR ANY KIND OF COSTUME.
