I was wondering if anyone would deem it appropriate for a Trekkie to come to the furry convention... as I am both a fur and a Trekkie, I think I just might bring my Starfleet uniform. Any other Trekkies are welcome! Hmm... furry... trekkie.... uh... Frekkie? O-o I dunno. And if anyone wants to do like... I dunno... a Star Trek furry masquerade, I think it would be cool, if anyone can think of something. |

Everyone is welcome at Anthrocon, even representatives of Starfleet.
Though you might get a few odd looks here and there, which can't be helped!

Well, I do appreciate that, good Doctor. The thought occurred to me because I distinctly remember seeing other furs in Starfleet uniforms. Other fandom meldings were spotted as well, includding Commander Doggy from the Power Rangers if I recall. ^^

What about cosplayers?? I have a buddy who might come along if I can convince him no harm will come of him.

He wouldn't be the first Cosplayer to attend AC.
There would be no problems at all.

permalinkI may be wrong, but last I checked, didn't we have a Starfleet Admiral at the last five or so? I'd swear there was someone in the Dealer's room in some sort of uniform, may have been Babylon 5 or something.
(Not to mention Cmdr Kitsune, CS3 Trayling and myself showing up in Navy duds)

permalinkI don't recall seeing anyone from StarFleet, but I do recall seeing an imperial stormtrooper around a lot; whom ironically without his head looks like Mark Hammil back when he made the original movies.
However, this pales in comparison to Master Chief attending to the just passed FC 07. Blue armor, making him Tucker? Anyway, also at FC07 there was Beetlejuice.
Frankly I love it. A few oddballs like that at furry cons makes it all the more interesting!
There is no truth

Tucker's armor is teal, Caboose has the blue armor.
I want to see a spartan one of these days. Hopefully I'll be able to make at least a spartan II helmet by AC. If not, I'll still have my rebel pilot suit and suit of chain mail to wear along with my fursuit.

A Spartan would rock.
I'd like to see a furry version of Kratos, myself.

The furson you are most likely thinking of is "Admiral" Boyce Kline, who is allied with the Shanda Fantasy Arts folks (and a friend of this ol fox too!). He has a moified B5 uniform, as well as a beautiful suit of chainmail that he wears. He's been to quite a few cons around the country over the last decade.
Hope dat helps, *yip!*

Next step up from that would be... A French Field Marshall of Napoleon's Army. lol
Odd looks... sure. I'll just be conducting an "investigation."
